SOUTH HERO OVERLAND ROUTE EXPLORATION (SHORE)

We want to hear from all road users how to make South Hero a better place to live, work, and play all summer long. The Lake Champlain Islands Economic Development Corporation has been funded by VT Outdoor Recreation Economy Coalition to develop wayfinding and pop-up solutions to make cycling the Islands more comfortable and intuitive. This project will also propose ways to directly support small businesses island-wide. Come talk to us about how better signage, clear wayfinding, and simple improvements could transform the shared roadway experience for everyone on the island.

Join us for a conversation or casual bike ride to share your insights and knowledge about routes, signage, and safety on South Hero Roads. You can choose to participate in one or both of the following ways:

Ride along and discuss your experiences with the project team. You can meet us at Allenholm Farm (Friday, 9am, Saturday, 10am). We’ll move at a leisurely pace and include plenty of stops to discuss the good and bad of cycling in South Hero.

OR

Meet us at Wally's Place on Friday or Seb's Snack Bar on Saturday for exhibits and discussion. You can view the project materials, share your ideas and feedback, and ask questions to the project team. LCIEDC will provide refreshments.
