Equinox Wildflower Ramble

  • Landon-Round Pond Connector 121 Landon Road South Hero, VT 05486 United States (map)

After visiting the Landon Connector Trail in February for our “Winter Wildflower Walk”, we thought we’d pair that with a ramble to the same location around the equinox to see the same landscape in a completely different season.

Join us Tuesday, September 20 at 4:30 PM for a ramble through the meadows of the Landon-Round Pond Connector Trail as we explore the abundant late season asters, goldenrods, mint plans, as well as the pollinators that frequent them, plus whatever else we find interesting!

What’s a ramble exactly? Well, these casual walks are designed as a fun, informal way to get together and explore and connect with beautiful natural places in the Islands.

Nature rambles are also collaborative - while SHLT staff and guest speakers will come prepared with a theme and a handful of neat things to check out along the trail, we respect and invite the knowledge that each of us bring to the table. The best rambles often feel more like a conversation than a lecture, because it’s always more fun when everyone gets a chance to be involved. So please, come as you are, bring your questions, bring your enthusiasm, and let’s go for a ramble!

RSVP’s encouraged but not required. Email guy@shlt.org to let us know if you’re planning on coming. This event is free and open to all. Questions? Email guy@shlt.org
