Camp Description:

Let’s explore South Hero (and the surrounding area) together during this fun-filled week of adventure! From our home base at Folsom we’ll travel by bike and on foot, visiting the places and people that make South Hero special.

We’ll get our hands dirty at local farms to see how our food is grown, go birdwatching by the lake, spend a day foraging and practicing survival skills at Round Pond, hike as many of the trails as we can, take the bike ferry to the mainland, while snagging a creemee or bagel (or two) along the way, and more! 

At the same time we’ll hone our adventure skills and build good habits in safety, route-planning, map-reading, and teamwork. The camp is led by Guy Maguire and Anna Johnson at South Hero Land Trust. Note: We will provide a bike for anyone who needs one.
