Glacial Geology Field Day with Craig Heindel

  • South Hero Land Trust 260 US-2 South Hero, VT, 05486 United States (map)

Join Craig Heindel for a morning of hands-on exploration of South Hero through the eyes of a glacial geologist. Learn how the mighty ice-age glaciers carved out the landscape we see today, and much more.

We will caravan to multiple sites, allowing us to see and touch ancient marine sands and beach gravel from the Champlain Sea period, muck from the bottom of historic Lake Vermont, and a chance to spend time with a local expert and learn the fascinating history of the Ice Age in Vermont and how it continues to influence our landscapes today.

RSVPs are required for all 2021 SHLT events. Learn More And RSVP Here
