Celebrate the New Year!

Join SHLT and our friends at RISE VT on January 1st, 2020, for a hike at Round Pond Natural Area! We'll enjoy the quiet woods, fields, and make our way down to the beautiful lake Champlain shoreline.

This family friendly hike is about 1.3 miles round trip, relatively flat, with one short steep section to get down to the beach. If you want to know more about accessibility/ hike difficulty or snowshoes, give us a call or email and we’d be happy to talk with you.

The South Hero Library has showshoes for rent, and SHLT will have a few extra on hand to lend out (kids and adult sizes). If there is good snowpack, snowshoes can be a fun way to enjoy the trail.
