Pelots Point Nature Ramble

Join local naturalist Chuck Hulse and fellow nature-enthusiasts for a casual nature ramble at Pelots Point in North Hero. Who knows what natural wonders and curiosities we'll find!

COVID protocol information: As we begin to offer in-person events, we are taking great care to keep all participants, as well as our staff and volunteers safe. We are following all state mandates related to COVID-19. In addition, we will be:

1. limiting the number of participants to allow for social distancing, and requiring RSVPs.

2. requesting than any person who is ill or has been exposed to COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to the event not attend, and to notify us as soon as possible that you will not be attending.

3. Requiring masks for unvaccinated individuals.

Participants under age 16 should be accompanied by an adult. We ask that you please leave pets at home.

Trail Conditions: The trail has one hilly section in the first few hundred yards, and then is relatively flat for the rest of the walk. There may be some muddy and/or wet areas on the trail. The trail is a mix of sun and shade.

Directions from South Hero: Take Route 2 north through Grand Isle and across the bridge to North Hero. About 2 miles from the bridge, turn left on Sunset View Rd and go about 1 mile. Turn right on W Shore Rd, go about .7 mile then left onto Station Road as it curves and becomes Pelots Point Road. Continue for about 1 mile and the parking area will be on your right.
