South Hero Land Trust and the South Hero/Worthen Library are partnering up to host a book walk and kickoff for the summer reading and outdoor osprey challenge.

Join us at 10 AM at Round Pond State Natural Area for a guided tour of the new storybook trail: “Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt” by Kate Messner.

Plus, we’ll be kicking off the 2nd annual Osprey Challenge - an outdoor-themed scavenger hunt to explore nature and win prizes! Challenges are provided such as: “Make a model boat out of only things you find in nature and sail it in a stream or the lake. Try using tough grasses to hold your boat together.” Prizes include super-cool temporary tattoos, ice cream, nature guides, and more.

Afterward, join us at the South Hero Library for snacks and the summer reading kickoff. Join summer reading for your chance to win the grand prize!
