Come visit the South Hero Recreation Park to see the brand new South Hero StoryWalk® featuring the inaugural book “The Hike” by Allison Farrell, and join in some fun activities led by the Worthen Library!

The book will be presented page-by-page along the trail, with fun facts and activities related to the book at each station. So, you can go for a walk, explore the park, and read a book at the same time! Folks from the Worthen Library will also be there with fun activities and related games.

In the past we’ve partnered with the Worthen Library and volunteers to create temporary pop-up storywalks® around South Hero. They have been very popular, but don’t last in the elements, so we worked together to raise grant funds from the Vermont Community Foundation Spark Grant to construct a permanent location that will be the home of the South Hero Storywalk for many years to come!

The storywalk® is great for young readers, but offers lots to learn and see for all ages.
